“Today, fashion is really about sensuality-how a woman feels on the inside. In the ’80s women used suits with exaggerated shoulders and waists to make a strong impression. Women are now more comfortable with themselves and their bodies, they no longer feel the need to hide behind their clothes.” ~ Donna Karan
One of my favorite ways to express myself is through clothes and accessories. I was fortunate to grow up around women with a sense of style and enthusiasm about adorning themselves. They taught me about color, fabric, jewelry and of course, the power of lipstick. There was a sense of elegance with them, even when dressing casually. It could be all about a crisp white t-shirt and faded jeans, but lipstick and a string of pearls made it a more personal statement for them.
What I know now is that what you put on your body is an outer expression of your mojo. And what you put on your body can amplify your inner mojo. It’s a beautiful symbiotic relationship. This means that trends are never your friend unless you make them uniquely yours.
These days every woman has the opportunity to dress for her success and expression of self. There are so many options, investment levels and helpful information about how to style yourself. There are no excuses anymore.
Please be aware—I am talking about dressing for YOU. Your mojo style is not about what’s going to ‘get’ the mate. It’s all about representing you in a way that feels true and authentic for the occasion. When it comes to your day, how do you want to feel? What do you envision as your signature style? What do you need to add or subtract from your wardrobe to accomplish this?
When you’re clear on your mojo style, you will always feel confident about walking up knowing that not only are you comfortable in your own skin, you are in your clothes as well.

Have a date with your closet. You’re on a hunt for three to five outfits that make you feel fabulous. These outfits are going to be your go to outfits. When you put them on, you feel confident, sexy and perfectly you!
Once you figure out each outfit, take a photo of yourself in it and put it in a specific file or print it out and put it in a book. This will serve as your personal look book—a cheat sheet of outfits. It comes in handy on those days when stress is a little high and you want to scream, “But I have nothing to wear!”
Big love,
